2018 Best movies

I have spent quite a lot of time on the plane  lately therefore I have watched new movies which I can add to my ‘2018 best movies ‘ list. From rom-coms to thrillers, these are the best movies I have seen this year which you should add to your list shall you be looking for a good movie to watch.

1. Girls trip

This is my favourite chick flick of the year, the cast is perfect. If you liked the movie “Think like a man”, you will LOVE this movie. It is just hilarious and so easy to watch. Watch it with the girls; you need to share the laughter!

2. Black panthere

OK, this probably deserves a whole post as for me it was the best movie of the year and not only because of the quality of it but more for the messages it sent out – empowerment of women being at the fore front shown as leaders, intelligent and brave characters and the beautiful representation of the African culture which is quite often undermined.
If you have not seen this movie, this should be the first on your list 🙂

3. Nerve

This is a nice and fun movie to watch which shows the power of social media and pursue of online acknowledgment. There is also a love story going on, just to make it better 🙂

4. Tonya

A true story – I love true stories – about the famous ice skater who was so talented but because of bad entourage, her life took a totally different turn. It shows the importance of good people around you. Great movie, plus one of the scenes is in my home town in France, Albertville, where we hosted the Olympic Games in 1992!

5. Traffik

A very good thriller based on a true story about girls traffic. As soon as I saw Paula Patton was the main actress I knew it would be a great movie. I am not usually a big fan of thrillers as I feel I can have a heart attack at any time but this was great. It is horrible to think this is really happening in real life …

6. The kissing booth

This is a proper rom-com which was trending on Netflix. Perfect for a girls night, it is a very cute love story with very handsome actors 🙂

7. I feel pretty

Another funny chick flick with Amy Schumer.  It is very funny and shows that self-confidence is essential and has a very positive effect on others’ perception of us.

8. Red sparrow

I have wanted to watch this one since it came out but did not manage to so I was made up to see it was available on the plane. Quite violent, so sensitive people keep away!
It is a good action movie and there is a lot of twists which will keep you on edge. This is a movie you can watch with your partner, unlike some of the rom-coms above!

9. A family man

This is not a 2018 movie but I have watched that one on the plane two weeks ago and I liked it that much that I really wanted this film to be part of the list.  I wish I watched it at home as I got quite emotional! Nothing worse than having to hold your tears, I just wanted to cry in peace!
A beautiful movie which reminds us that family is the most important thing in life and comes before anything else.

10. Mission impossible Fall Out

I actually went to see that one at the cinema with a friend as it was the only movie I fancied watching and it turned out to be a very enjoyable movie. I really liked it and although it lasts 2 hours it didn’t feel like it which is always a good sign.
I still can’t get over how Tom Cruise looks so good for his age!

Well that’s it! Hope you will enjoy these movies as much as I did. Please let me know what you think.

I will try to write another post like this by the end of the year so if you have seen other movies this year which deserve a highlight, please leave a comment below 🙂
